Cobalt R5 Runabout Video Walkthrough

The Cobalt R5 is an agile, mid-sized runabout boat with a head-turning sleek profile that delivers a great ride. She features a walk-through transom with a retractable, innovative, patented swim step that gives passengers easy water access and provides a great way to board the boat. This is one of the highlights of the vessel and it is truly a wonderful invention.

Deep-V Runabout Hull Design

Her Deep-V hull design is constructed from 16-layers of hand-laid fiberglass and delivers a smooth, stable ride. As a true runabout, the R5 is all about relaxing onboard, and there are a lot of ways to do so. From the recliner on the rear sun pad to reversible back rests on large loungers that allow you to sit in either direction, this boat is a joy to spend time aboard. Plus, a neatly integrated onboard head compartment makes long days on the water more enjoyable.

High-Tech Helm Features

Cobalt’s are known for being high-tech and the helm on the R5 is no exception. With dual integrated touch screen MFDs in the dash, she has a mini glass helm arrangement with a premium Rockford Fosgate stereo, trim tabs and light-up, press-activated buttons. All of which are cutting-edge, top of the line features.

Fit And Finish

Cobalt’s are also famous for their ultra-shiny, beautiful reflective gelcoat that the builder prides itself on. The fit and finish on this vessel is towards the top end of the industry for her class and size. Overall, the R5 has a well-thought out, cohesive design and strikes an ideal balance between form and function.
