In her daysailer guise, the 38 features open, uncluttered spaces inside and out. A two person berth is located far forward with plenty of storage space aft. INCREDIBLE BUY on a super clean Beneteau Oceanis. This 38 Oceanis still looks like new inside and will be ready for the next owner late June. She has the desirable Weekender layout that provides an open floorplan with extra seating in the light and bright salon.
She currently is in a private marina and was just launched in the water on June 12 (see photos). Her boom and sails will be rigged on June 20th. Her June commissioning includes:
- New bottom paint
- 3 brand new house batteries
- 1 brand new engine battery
- 2 brand new AGM bow thruster batteries
- Mast stepping
- Sail Rigging & Tuning
The sails still look like new.
Other great features of this particular Oceanis include:
- B&G / Simrad electronics package
- Quick Bow Thruster
- Windlass anchor
- Cockpit cushions
- Teak cockpit decking
- Twin helm covers
- Fusion stereo with bluetooth connectivity
- LED cabin lighting
- Refrigerator in cabin
- Inflatable stand up paddle board (SUP) - unused / still in new packaging
- Cockpit table (stowed in cockpit locker--- looks to be unused)
The interior is stunning. She shows virtually no signs of use in the cabin as the floor is free of wear or scratches, the counter tops are perfect, and the upholstery is still as clean as new. The hatches also do not show signs of wear. The only interior imperfections that I found include some zippers for the cushions that pulled out. (The zippers are not noticeable when they are in place.)
The hull does not show signs of much use as I could not find any scratches, dings, or even spider gelcoat fractures. With a compound buffing, the gelcoat can look as new.
When we received her, it was reported that there was an issue with the B&G / Simrad electronics. We had the fault diagnosed and traced it to a NMEA 2000 rudder feedback unit. That has since been replaced and now ALL of the B&G/ Simrad electronics work excellent. I utilized the autopilot most of the journey to NYC and it performed excellent.
There is a fully enclosed head and a separate shower that is also fully enclosed. There is a double berth up front and another double berth in the aft cabin.
The Yanmar starts right up, runs smoothly, and shifts smoothly. The engine compartment looks as clean as they come (like new as well). The tachometer reads 22 hours.
We recently moved this Oceanis from Long Island to NYC for the 4th of July. She sailed and ran excellent.
Aqueous Yachts is located in Jupiter, Florida and primarily sells power vessels. We acquired this Beneteau from a bank (along with a number of powerboats) as the original owner
