2012 Brenta 42
|Propulsion Type||Single Inboard|
The B42 has been conceived as a 24 hour boat with a large interior, a separate full standing head, compact galley and double berth up forward.
She features the full hydraulic controls at the both wheels for singlehanded sail handling, including the mainsheet, jib sheet, traveler and vang. The Halyards and Leisure Furl boom are controlled with two (2) electric two speed self tailing electric Harken winches.
She also features a drop down electric bow thruster
The large cockpit features port and starboard "couches", making this cockpit as comfortable as most 60 footers!
Gecko Nero, is the only B42 in this country, she was custom built for a wealthy yachtsman in Norway, and very lightly used in Norway for one summer and shipped in a custom cradle to Sardinia to be lightly used the next summer.
We sold her to the current owner in the spring of 2014. This owner has lightly used her in Sag Harbor NY. She shows "As new" with 250 original hours. Each winter she has been stored in a heated shed at Dodson's Boat Yard in Stonington CT.
