Manufacturer Provided Description
Versatility best describes the Hunter 46. Whether you want to cross oceans or bays, bang around the buoys or just liveaboard, this boat has the capacity to do it all. The dinette area is large enough to handle the crew, but intimate enough for just two. Storage is plentiful as is the natural light and ventilation. Hand-rubbed teak and exquisite fabrics are in evidence throughout the grand interior. An innovative forward head arrangement splits the shower and head so both can be used at once. An enormous dual-opening refrigerator and freezer are central to the U-shaped galley. Force 10 stove and oven plus a microwave will make dinners a joy to make while the island sink will have cleanup covered. Storage for everything is at hand including the recessed trash receptacle. The forward master stateroom rivals most yachts twice her size. Twin hanging lockers and lots of drawers make staying aboard easy and a great night's sleep is guaranteed by the inner-spring mattresses.

Entertaining is gracious with the open salon which incorporates a TV and CD stereo. Twin comfortable seats and a convertible cocktail table are located just forward of the extensive nav station with plenty of space for electronics and gear. Aft you have a choice of two layouts; dual staterooms or trade one in for an office/work area. Both are large, airy and comfortable.

LOOK AT THIS! If you are ready to sail the ocean or visit the islands, here is your boat! Lovingly maintained, we have spent years outfitting this vessel for the ocean passages. This was a fresh water, one owner boat located in the Great Lakes until 2014 when we sailed out the Saint Lawrence River and into the deep blue. Lovingly cared for, we have lived on this sailboat for as long as nine months at a time, safe and secure with all the items necessary to travel comfortably. Don't listen to the nay-sayers about production vessels not being ocean boats. We have thousands of open water sailing miles on this boat. This is the vessel to sail to the Bahamas and far beyond. This 2006 Hunter 46 Sailboat is travel ready. In addition to the usual equipment, there is an upgraded 76 HP 6KW generator, 480 watts of solar panels permanently mounted out of the way on a custom made structure above the canvas, a "KISS" wind generator, a Spectra-Cape Horn water maker (don't sail away without a water maker!), newer "Lifeline" AGM house batteries (the best battery in my opinion), high strength reinforced dinghy davits, wi-fi antenna system mounted top of the mast to pick up wi-fi as far as seven miles out, Raymarine E120 (at helm) plus an E80 at nav station, Raymarine auto pilot, radar and AIS, bow thruster (bow thruster mean easy docking), electric winch, easy single-handed sail control (all sail adjustments can be controlled from inside the cockpit), in-mast main furling, furling headsail, Magma grill, HD TV antenna mounted on mast, full cockpit enclosure for rough weather sailing and screen enclosure. When people start planning and dreaming to sail away, they spend to much time getting ready and preparing their boats for travel but never actually go. With this 46 foot Hunter, you are ready to start living the dream by simply moving onboard and sailing away! Located on the east coast Flordia/Georgia line along the IC, this is a US Coast Guard Documented vessel. The following is from an online review of the Hunter 46: The rig and deck of the Hunter 46 are designed for speed and simple handling with an abundance of living space and creature comforts. The relatively wide 14 foot beam amidships carries well aft, not tapering back sharply to a narrow stern. Under the waterline, the Hunters bottom is flatter than many fast sailing hulls, and this helps keep you on an even keel another trait that power boaters appreciate. The standard rigging has no awkward backstay, and it gives you a larger, more powerful mainsail and a smaller jib. The Hunter 46 comes with an upgraded 76 hp Yanmar auxiliary diesel engine that is freshwater cooled. This model has the upgraded three-blade propeller. The 46s large rudder and bulb-wing keel gave it quick maneuverability in tight docking situations. It carries more than 1,000 square feet of sail. The engine compartment is sufficiently sound
