A unique property is an understatement for this floating home currently located on the ManateeRiver in Palmetto, Florida. Originally built in 2004 as a floating wedding chapel, for over one million dollars, it held one hundred and seven guests. It was purchased in 2015 by the current owners and converted (at a cost of over 200K) into a one of a kind houseboat.
All the original stained glass windows were retained. If you combine that with the 19 foot ceilings you have a spectacular living space. People are just in awe when they enter the front doors.
There is a master suit on the main level. A second bedroom is accessed by a circular stairway leading to the loft. A second guest bath is on the main floor.
The living room has huge bi-fold doors opening onto the covered deck with room for dining and relaxing while watching the sunset.
There is an indoor dining room adjacent to the kitchen. The kitchen has all modern appliances, granite counter tops and the same beautiful hardwood floors that are found throughout the living room and entry.
The home is completely air conditioned and has large fans for more moderate days.
A second deck at the front of the home can be used additional outdoor entertaining or enjoying the sun.
The floating home can be moved, powered by two Diamond Series Cummins Diesels and a 8KW Generator. It is a very low maintenance vessel that is 30 by 60 feet.
Use for a private residence, weekend getaway, or for a commercial enterprise.
