VERY RARE - Sea Ray 540 Cockpit Motor Yacht located on freshwater lake
The 540 Cockpit Motoryacht was Sea Ray's entry into the full-size fly bridge motor yacht arena and was built in 2001 and 2002; this is a 2002... this extended-range cruiser with realistic live aboard capabilities listed at $1.4 million and came from a freshwater river where it spent most of its life before coming down to Lake Lanier (freshwater lake), where it has been meticulously maintained. It was noted that this may be one of only 34 of these Sea Ray 540 Cockpit Motor Yachts ever made and I assure you, you will not find one cleaner.

Sea Ray overview:
With three big staterooms, an overall length of 55 feet, and a cruising range approaching 400 miles, the 540 CPMY is as well-suited for long-range cruises as she is for luxury day trips.
The amenities start aft with hydraulic swim platform rated at an 800-pound carrying capacity and hideaway stainless steel ladder.
The aft cockpit benches provide rear seating for 4 people, as well as easy access to the well laid out and oversized engine room. The twin Cummins 616 hp diesels are separated by a 27"-wide walkway so there's plenty of elbow room in which to work. Meanwhile, a sound-shielded 20-kW Westerbeke genset cranks out enough juice to power the whole yacht, including all of her air conditioning systems.
The big attraction on the 540 (after the fully equipped L-shaped galley) is the forward sky lounge. This huge C-shaped lounge can seat 7-8 adults and it will be your dining table, card table, library and work table, and its raised perch gives you a good view of the marina or anchorage around you.
Moving upward upon the sloping teak-tread steps will bring you to the fly bridge via a translucent hatch that locks securely. Once up top, a second dining/lounging area with wetbar; our favorite part was the over sized fore/aft-facing bench seat that folds down with the push of a button to create a massive sunpad for three.
Underway the 540 bested the elusive 30-mph mark and best cruise will get you nearly 400 miles down the road--important if the Loop or a trip over to the Bahamas are in your travel plans.
With three full staterooms and enough floor space to have a full-blown party and a band on the bridge, the 540 Cockpit Motoryacht is welcome, versatile addition to the Sea Ray fleet that leaves nothing to be desired in the luxury motor yacht class.
