The Boat is set up for Cruising and Racing, In particular Ocean racing. She has raced Marblehead to Halifax and last years Newport-Bermuda race, where she came in 3rd in her class. I have taken her from the Caribbean to the Northeast of USA through Bermuda and the Bahamas multiple times. She is very seaworthy and has been most reliable in heavy weather. Shes fast when she has wind and loves a nice close to beam reach.

2 If by Sea is great example of the very popular Beneteau Oceanis 473. The design is perfect for blue water or coastal sailing. She has a wide beam, which helps with stability in the open ocean and allows for massive interior. The hull design is such that she does't sacrifice too much performance up wind, which is a plus.
