BEACH PLUM is totally unique in her design and commanding in her good looks. While designed for New England waters, she is well suited to any climate and area where speed and shallow draft are desired. While out on a sea trial with her owner, I was immediately taken with how quiet and smooth BEACH PLUM is. She is well balanced with no real discernable bow rise at any speed, and she performed beautifully with her narrow beam slicing thorough the 2 Vineyard Sound chop easily, at every angle and without fuss. This is truly one of the coolest and most sensible express cruisers I have had the good fortune to enjoy an outing on. She can be well recommended and should not disappoint upon inspection.

|Engine Type||Twin Inboard|
BEACH PLUMB reminds one of the commuter boats from an earlier era. She is long (60 feet) and narrow (11 5) with a draft of two feet. Her prepreg carbon reinforced hull is strong and light. Because of her length there is a comfortable owners stateroom aft and a guest stateroom forward each with a private head, as well as a convertible dinette perfect for a couple of kids. Beach Plum slices through the water with a cruising speed of 30 knots and a top speed of 34 knots. Her fuel burn is one gallon/mile at 30 knots. Powered by twin Yanmars of 420hp each Beach Plum can run at 20 knots on just one engine. She was originally designed for a New England Couple making the move from sail to power who desired a swift and stable yacht able to easily zip around (and over!) the shallows of Nantucket, Cape Cod and the Vineyard. She affords excellent water access and whisper quiet operation, she is a totally unique offering.
