1999 Hatteras 55 Convertible

1999.5 Hatteras 55 Convertible

The vessel has storm damage from hurrican Michael and is for sale as is (first 15 or so pictures are pre-storm and the rest are post storm). The vessel remained afloat and secured during the storm and was not driven ashore or grounded. Hull, major machinery and underwater gear are in good condition. Most of the damage is focused on the tower. Vessel is currently in dry storage.

Prior to the storm the vessel was a family boat which was used for occasional fishing trips, but more often used to cruise the bay every other week and also make a trip to the bahamas every couple of years. She was maintained with an open check book and received monthly scheduled maintenance for the 12+ years that we have owned the boat (same marine mechanic for the last two owners and 17+ years of service). She was a family boat that supported dozens of adventures and created many memories and it is a family decision to put her on the market.

This boat represents a unique opportunity to acquire a quality sport fish at a great price. If you want to buy the boat to refurbish it and make it your own, there arguably isn't a more solid and sought after platform and the boat is new enough to actually have some legs (25-27kt cruise). Fix up the exterior, spruce up the interior, pull the tower and leave it off to make it more of an all purpose cruiser/fishing rig while investing relatively little. Or completely repaint the exterior, gut the interior living quarters and replace the tower and update the electronics. There are many options and paths to choose. No matter what you do with the boat, it will be supported by a stout, great riding hatteras hull and powered by CAT engines that have never done anything but run absolyutley flawlessly.

The boat is equipped with many valuable extras including dual generators, water maker, cockpit raw water ice maker and bait freezer, seven blade props, stainless rudders and more. See the vessel details section for complete listing. Contact for further details.
