1986 Phoenix Convertible

Helping my old man sell his Phoenix 29. She is a lot of boat for him to handle, so time for her to find a new owner. The PHX 29 is very comparable to the Bertram 28 and Blackfin of its generation. Main difference is the PHX 29 has tunnel haul, which was innovative at the time.  The tunnel hull allows for better performance efficiencies, and shallower draft. The PHX 29 drafts, 2.5 feet of water, which is ideal for running the inlets and back cuts here in NCs outer banks.

The boat was repowered with twin Diesels. Which is rare to find, as these boats were originally powered with gas engines.  Twin Isuzu 150 HR (non-turbo, run like a champ), fresh water cooled. Service records on hand.

Boat has been well maintained, as she was used for both offshore fishing and cruising the sound and backwaters.  We fish the boat anywhere from right off the beach for kings to 45 miles offshore. most of the time we run offshore at 15 to 18 knots depending on the swell. her sweet spot is probably16/17. she has two NEW 80 gallon fuel tanks (160 total).
