The Cape Dory 28 is a Carl Alberg design with a full keel and moderate well distributed sail plan that makes her easy to sail. Her long keel with attached rudder allow her to hold course in a seaway. The CD 28 is a pocket blue water cruiser that can be found cruising all the oceans of the world. Kerry Deare is an original example of this fine vessel. She has never been "restored", just lovingly maintained and upgraded over the years by the one and only master she has ever had. She has been outfitted to do what she was designed to do and that is too roam the 7 seas. She has made three round trips between New Jersey and Bermuda, sailed as far south as the Virgin Islands and as far north as New Foundland. Kerry Deare is in very good condition, fully operational and is a must see for anyone with their eyes to seaward.
