1979 Ocean Yachts 40 Plus 2 Ocean Yacht Trawler

40' 2" X 14' 3" w/3'6" Draft - Ocean Yacht Trawler, Twin Perkins Diesels 160HP Most Ocean 40+2 Trawlers were powered with twin 160hp Perkins diesels w/450 Gallon Fuel Capacity, the cruising speed is 1213 knots and the top speed is around 15 knots., Westerbeke 7.5KW Diesel Generator, Engine Room Fire Extinguisher Automatic System, 2BR/2BA with Coast Guard Legal Chemical Heads to Discharge Overboard.  The Ocean 40+2 was Oceans attempt at building a trawlera marketing decision no doubt driven by the fuel crisis of the late 1970s and the resulting surge in trawler sales. The hull design is very unusualthe swim platform is an integral part of the hull (thereby explaining the 40+ 2 model designation), and a unique reverse curve below the waterline at the stern is supposed to aid in getting the boat on plane.

Sometimes called a dual mode hull, the 40+2s bottom is actually a semi-displacement design capable of planing speed performance. Inside, the all-teak interior is arranged with V-berths forward and twin berths afta practical layout for some, but dated by todays fixation on walkaround double berths.  A lower helm w/6'4" Headroom and deck access door were standard, and the salon came standard with a convertible sofa and wet bar. Additional features include full walkaround decks, a tub/shower in the aft head w/100 Gallon Water Capacity, and a functional mast and boom.  Vessel Located in Fresh Water St Johns River in Deland, FL - Holly Bluff Marina, Dealer for Volvo and Westerbeke Generators.  Shown by Appointment - Call/Text Steve 321-277-7800
