Bow

On the bow there is a Hatteras Bow Pulpit and rail with a Bi-Directional Ideal Windlass. There are two dock boxes installed on the deck to keep all your extras and four fender racks.

Every inch of this boat gleams and shimmers!

Every detail has been thought of and you will turn a lot of heads in this 46 Hatteras!

Cockpit & Swim Platform

Hard Shell Blues is a true convertible! It's comfortable accommodations make it a popular cruiser, but it's forte is, of course, fishing. The cockpit is 9 feet by 10 feet and has plenty of space to lounge around while at the dock or underway, but is known for it's fish-ability. When you add in the roomy flybridge, the 46 has lured many a serious angler.

There is a back-down station which has a helm wheel as-well-as throttles and transmission controls.

The owners are including 3 Pompanette fishing chairs. These chairs are great for lounging at the dock, sitting back enjoying the ride, and also giving three fisherman a place to reel in the big one.

Flybridge

The flybridge is roomy and spacious. It is accessed via the ladder that leads you up to the helm. The current owner's have installed two NEW Pompanette Helm Chairs for your comfort. There is a New Garmin 7610 Color ChartPlotter FF/Downview Sonar, Sitex Depth Finder/Color FishFinder, Stereo CD w/2 Speakers, Serious Rod Storage, Engine Room Camera (reports on the Garmin unit). There are two Icom VHF's, one on the bridge and one in the salon. There is a Furuno 64 Mile Radar and Bennett Trim Tabs. Everything works and is either NEW or very well maintained and in fine working order.

Salon

The salon of Hard Shell Blues is very spacious and rich looking with it's interior trimmed with solid teak, each piece carefully chosen and matched. The undersides of every drawer are waxed, and any exposed grain is sealed with paint.

This is a huge salon and there is plenty of room to entertain friends or relax comfortably with family. There is enough room on the floor to play a game with the kids, and with NEW carpet shows beautifully!

The owners have had the two chairs custom made covered with fine leather.  In addition, the NEW adjustable table can be used as just that, or it can be adjusted to any height, even coffee table height.

There are custom fitted curtains through the entire salon area except the windshield which has privacy tinting.

This is a non-smoking boat and there are no musty smells at all, not even in the bilge. I was amazed at how spotless Hard Shell Blues is, she shows as good as any new boat.

Galley

The galley-down arrangement is clearly the choice of anglers -- or anyone expecting to spend much time at sea. There is plenty of storage both above and below the counter. The combination of the teak and NEW counter space show very elegantly.

Hard Shell Blues owner has had a NEW custom counter top installed. I have seen the workmanship and it is absolutely beautiful. I couldn't tell it wasn't factory work. Along with the counter top they also installed a NEW large deep sink. Also they had a NEW convection microwave that to this point has only been used to reheat coffee. There is also a NEW three burner electric cook-top. They have also had NEW floor covering installed, so the galley is completely redone. It looks beautiful and very tastefully done!

The refrigerator is a full-size GE 18.9 cu. ft. double door that will hold enough food to feed your entire family and all your friends. You won't have a problem loading enough food for that long cruise or fishing trip.

Master Stateroom

The master stateroom is very spacious and has tons of stowage under the berths as well as hanging lockers, drawers, and shelving. The teak just makes this boat so elegant. It is in perfect shape through out, and the current owners have taken exquisite care to keep her beautiful.

The master head is in-suite and accessible only from inside the master stateroom, so going in and out in complete privacy is a huge plus.

Forward Stateroom

The forward stateroom has it's own door for privacy as well. It also has a door leading to the fully equipped guest head. There is a set of single bunks with plenty of stowage, drawers and full closet space. There is plenty of room for the kids and all their belongings, video gaming equipment, and whatever else they need to bring.

It also works well for a couple of fishing buddies, and gives plenty of space for everyone's gear.

There is access to the anchor locker and windlass through a teak door in case you need to untangle the anchor line or get to the wiring.

Engines; Engine Room

The engines which are GM-Detroit 8V-71Ti's have only 1,128 original hours and are immaculate! The current owner has installed AirSeps, Racor fuel filters, and a NEW 40 amp Battery Charger, Onan 15kw Generator in Hush Box, Engine Room Camera.  The engines look great and have been meticulously maintained. The owner's have also installed a Glendinning Engine Synchronizer, so you really just need to show-up and go!

The 46 with this engine package cruises at 16-18 knots and burns right at 30 gallons an hour. Not to bad when you compare her to the boats of today, burning 50+ per hour.

Fuel filters, separators, and manifold switches are clearly marked and placed. All the wiring is both color-coded and numbered.

Everything is easily accessible and easy to maintain. There is almost standup room in the engine room, which makes it easier when it comes time for servicing.
