Tracker boats
Tracker Boats says they're the best-selling fishing boat in America, and no matter how many hulls they may sell every year, one thing is beyond question: the diversity of the Tracker line-up can’t be matched. Tracker builds bass boats, panfish boats, multi-species freshwater fishing boats, jon boats, utility boats, and Sun Tracker pontoon boats. They also own Mako saltwater fishing boats, Tahoe runabouts and deckboats, and Nitro bass boats. Yes—the Tracker family is a big one. And as a result, Tracker enjoys an excellent economy of scale.
Many of the Tracker models under-cut the competition’s prices, and most come with a wide range of options including matched trailers. Buying new Trackers can also be a bit less of a hassle than buying some other brands since they publish a “no haggle, no hassle” price that’s consistent from one dealer to another.
Tracker Boats History
Founded in 1978 by Johnny Morris, founder of Bass Pro Shops, created the first ready-to-fish boat package complete with boat, motor and trailer, as well as accessories after finding that buying a boat was a complicated process because every component was sold separately. Johnny knew he could make things easier.
Drawing its name from the magnificent river flowing through the Ozarks, today White River Marine Group (WRMG) is the world’s largest builder of fishing and recreational boats by volume.
Where are Tracker Boats built?
A member of the Bass Pro Shops® and Cabela’s® family, WRMG is based in Springfield, Missouri with boats designed and manufactured in the United States.
Trailers are made in the company's Ozark, Missouri plant which is approximately 30 minutes south of Springfield where Tracker Marine Group and its parent company, Bass Pro Shops is based.
Are Tracker boats all aluminum?
Yes, they are made from tough aluminum. Tracker hull and interior structures are made from 5052 H34 Marine-Grade alloy with magnesium for corrosion resistance. Heat tempered for strength and maximum durability which is also used in many military applications.
