Customizable Boat: Fort Lauderdale
An easy-to-handle yet exciting sailing experience is made possible by the wide, flat, and stable hull, ballasted swinging keel, gennaker snuffer system, furling jib, and minimal deck controls. She will undoubtedly fulfill racing dreams in international one-design classes as well as adventurous sea camping because she is easily disassembled and trailered.
The wide, flat hull shape and deep-ballasted swinging keel of the First 18 SE provide a dinghy-like sailing experience on a more stable and secure platform. Complete control is guaranteed even while planning at double-digit speeds thanks to twin rudders. For the finest sailing experience, deck controls and boat handling are kept as simple as possible. Fast sailing is guaranteed even in mild wind conditions thanks to the furling jib, an easy-to-use snuffer system for the gennaker, and a powerful square-top mainsail supported by a carbon mast without a backstay. The boat is easy to sail alone, with two, or even three crew members thanks to its ergonomic and roomy open cockpit. You'll always sail well, whether in grueling regattas or exhilarating day sails.
