Entering from the extended swim platform and passing through the transom door you enter the very open and spacious cockpit area. There is a large bench seat at the starboard and port with a removable table. On the Port side forward before the salon door is the wet bar station with built-in blender and Corian® countertop. This area has a sink with running water, a concealed waste receptacle and a cockpit icemaker. Starboard of the wet bar area is the helm. The helm has a double seat and provides excellent visibility. Continuing up three molded steps and passing through the walk-through windshield is the foredeck, windlass and remote controlled spotlight. Stainless steel handrails provide additional safety while underway.

You enter the cabin through the cockpit door procced down the steps. The interior can only be described as spectacular. Maxum has done a fantastic job on the interior with its fully carpeted flooring, Light colored cabinetry and designer fabrics. The salon entertainment center that includes a TV with DVD and AM/FM/CD Clarian stereo. Proceeding forward on the starboard side is an elevated dinette which coverts easily to a berth. There is abundant storage under the dinette seating as well as under the elevated platform. Between the dinette and the master berth is a large hanging locker with Corian® countertop. The master berth has a storage locker under the bed. The master berth has a hatch with inside cover and two portholes which provides ample lighting. Going aft on the port side is the galley which consists of a stainless steel sink with hot and cold water, microwave oven, double burner stove and combination refrigerator with freezer. The galley is done in beautiful Corian® countertops. Continuing aft on the starboard side is the bathroom that has a vanity with Corian® countertop, vacuflush toilet. There is a midship stateroom under the stairs and includes a full size berth with custom matching bedding with the master stateroom. This stateroom has two portholes that provide excellent lighting and a privacy curtain.

The engine room features ram shock assist raised hatch, easy access for maintenance and engine checks. The generator is sound shield protected providing quiet, dependable power while underway or moored in a tranquil cove for an evening of star gazing.

This boat feels HUGE thanks to the smart and efficient layout with its extra wide beam. The end result is that you would think that you are on a much larger vessel. This boat is the perfect family cruiser for cruise anywhere in the Chesapeake Bay Region.

The PowerBoat Guide: A stylish boat with a reverse arch and long, sexy foredeck, the Maxum 3300 SCR (called the 3300 SE in 2003–07) was one of the more affordable family cruisers her size during the early 2000s. Like her sisterships in the Maxum fleet, she’s built on a straightforward modified-V hull with an integral swim platform and bow pulpit. The midcabin interior is arranged with an offset double berth forward, a convertible dinette to starboard and a full galley (with Corian countertops and a hardwood floor) opposite. The head is aft, across from the entryway where it’s easily accessed from the cockpit. There are plenty of storage bins and lockers below, and three overhead hatches and three opening ports provide good cabin ventilation. The cockpit of the 3300 is set up a little different than most with facing settees aft, a centerline transom door, and an aft-facing lounge behind the (triple-wide) helm seat. A cockpit entertainment bar was standard, and a walk-through windshield provides access to the foredeck sun pad.
