We bought this beautiful J-42 new in 1997 and have lovely kept it in like new condition. We did some local races a few years back but it recent years has been summer cruised primarily in Canadian waters. The furling 135 North jib is nearly new and the full batten main is in fine shape. All other sails are still fine, but older. All mechancal systems are in good working order (engine has 2300 hrs) and all other systems have been repaired, replaced or upgraded where needed. It will be hard to find a nicer J-42 and we're hoping a new owner can enjoy this "perfect" boat as much as we have. The boat is up for sale because the "crew" (wife) just isn't healthy enough for safe and enjoyable sailing. A full list of all equipment, additons, replacements, etc. is availble for anyone seriously interested in this boat.
