introduced in the mid 1980s, the President 37 Sundeck becamepopular with entry-level buyers thanks to her spacious interiorand very attractive price. She was built in Taiwan on a solidfiberglass hull, and while her tall freeboard makes the 37 sensitiveto the wind, a shallow, full-length keel provides much-neededdirectional stability. Several floorplans were available during herproduction years, all with a standard lower helm and all with thegalley down. The President?s teak (or light oak) interior woodworkis impressively finished, and the big wraparound cabin windowscreate a bright and surprisingly open salon. On the downside, the6-foot, 3-inch headroom in the main salon is just barely adequatefor tall guys. Outside, the aft deck is large enough for several deckchairs, and serviceable side decks provide easy access to the bow.A bow pulpit, swim platform, and hardtop were standard.
