This 1984 Albin 27 Family Cruiser is a direct descendant of the Swedish-built Albin 25 Cruiser, one of the best selling small craft ever produced. The Family Cruiser was quite a popular model in her own right thanks to her compact design, economical operation, easy handling and sturdy construction. Hull construction is solid fiberglass and a shallow, full-length keel provides protection for the running gear in shallow waters. While the Family Cruiser's twin-cabin accommodations are necessarily basic they are nonetheless adequate for two undemanding couples. Perhaps her best feature is the center-cockpit layout with its inboard seating and protected helm. Built in the US, the Albin 27 requires relatively little maintenance and they handle a chop quite well for a small boat.
