This is a great trailerable cruiser for a couple that wants the amenities of a larger boat without the cost of high maintenance. It is responsive and is fun and easy to sail.... If you want to race... no worries, the PHRF rating is 258 which is very respectable for a trailerable 22' cruising boat.
The Rhodes has a fairly long waterline at 20', and unlike most trailerable sailboats built today it uses a shoal keel with a centerboard built in. With the board up she draws 20" and 48" with board down. The hardware is good with Lewmar winchers, Schaefer blocks and stainless cleats. The cockpit is large and wide, self bailing with bench seats on both sides and across the aft end of the cockpit.
The mast is hinged and stores the furling mainsail. The mast is supported by 9 stays and shrouds: forestay, 2 backstays, 2 upper shrouds, 2 forward lowers and 2 aft lowers. The poptop provides 6'4" headroom with about 4' of sitting headroom and the boat can be sailed with the poptop up. The cabin layout is roomy, open airy and liveable. The dinette area converts into a 6'6" double with 6' v' berths. The galley and head are unusual for their completeness and size in a boat this size. The galley comes with a 4'6" counter with sink, stove and a front opening icebox. Plus there is lots of galley storage and both 12 DC volt and 110 volt AC outlets.
