One3 Powerboats from design to completion.

At One3 Powerboats we specialize in the 13th element, Aluminum!  We prefer particular people.  I have built a reputation based on one philosophy.  Excellence is not an act, but a habit!  All One3 boats are C.A.D (computer aided design) drawn by a Naval Architect.  Just as with a traditional boat, it all starts on paper.  The difference? We are restricted by no molds and offer endless possibilities to our design.  In recent years this CAD file has allowed for all of the materials and component used in the construction of your boats to be cut and shaped with robotic precision.  Utilizing waterjet and or Hi-def plasma machines has changed everything.  The difference being unmatched efficiency and cost saving offered by drastically reducing the total number of man hours required when building a plate welded boat.  Additionally, a software program is used to calculate the % of material wasted during the cutting process.   The program also provides placement and orientation of the parts to minimize waste of material and save even more time.  We know not only what your drawing weighs but where the water line is with you standing at the helm!  Just imagine what One3 could build for you!

Bio

Growing up as the son of a RI lobstermen I was on the water before walking on land.   After spending summers commercial fishing, I decided to aim my passion of the water at the craft that travel it.  Attending Marine Mechanics Institute, Orlando FLA provided a strong background on not only marine engine and propulsion systems but also systems and rigging that make every boat fully operational.  After 8 years in the service business I had picked up on welding aluminum while working for Ocean Performance, Old Saybrook, CT.   This premier high-performance boat dealer provides rigging and re-power of mechanical works of art.  Welding the industrys most complex outdrives started a nights and weekend side business that became White Metal Welding.  In the beginning my primary customers were owners of high end antique pre-war car and motor cycles that ranged from 1898 one off museum pieces to full restoration of a 1911 INDIAN motorcycle that completed an over 3000-mile race cross country.  Working with everything from steel, stainless, aluminum, bronze, cast iron, brazing, soldering grew the passion for metal.  Following the economic crash boating returned to my life in a strong way bringing the best of Rhode Islands marine fabrication and repair work.  Specializing in aluminum, stainless work while offering mobile service brought Hard top, T-top, radar arch, bow rail, hand rail, Greenstick, rod holders and more to the resume.  High standards of quality and impeccable reputation are what led to 10 years of working with local marina's and other skill craftsmen providing customers with a full-service boating experience.  Close relationships with local marine business started the demand to provide durable work boats.  Pleasant St Wharf, Artisan builders, Ocean House Marina, Prime Marina Group, and Cedar Island Oyster Company all became owners of a product combining each of my hard-earned skills.   A boat building company that will continue the reputation and highest of quality standards was the only natural thing to do.  A new 20' center console launched One3 Powerboats and the start of a full line of recreational boats to the list of work boats already offered.  This new line-up is surly the future of aluminum boats on the Atlantic.  Looking forward to providing the right boat for you in a relaxed, enjoyable and lasting experience.  Excellence is not an act but
