This is a one owner custom order 2012 Viking 42 Open. This 42 is professionally maintained in all aspects. From the weekly cleaning to the inside summer storage.
This 42 has been maintained and cared for with an Open check book. The engines and pods have been serviced exclusively by Cummins since new. With only 575 hours she is just getting broken in. Since taking delivery there has been over $31,000 in upgrades. Teak helm floor and cockpit steps. V-Kool added to all helm glass windows. Gulf Coast fuel polisher. A second VHF radio and antenna and added Sirius radio antenna. Release rod holder and bait tray. Rupp z-30 Top Gun 18 outriggers. Although the main purpose in the Viking was not to fish it can be easily if desired. Other unique additions include a custom fabricated teak storage step between the bunks in the aft stateroom. Two wall lights with switches added to the dinette. A mirror added to the inside of the aft stateroom and a Sea rail added to the galley and cabinets. All upgrade and service records are available. This 42 Viking is a must see for it is truly in a class of its own. The owner is happy to preview this vessel by appointment only.
Not only is the Viking 42 Open the smallest model in the current
Viking fleet, she is the first sportfishing boat to be powered with Zeus pod drives.
With her graceful sheer and muscular lines, the 42 Open is built on
a modified-V hull with a wide 15'10" beam and a solid fiberglass
bottom with prop pockets. The split mezzanine overlooking the
120-sq.-ft. cockpit conceals insulated storage compartments under
the seats, and post/starboard fish boxes and a transom door with
gate are standard in the cockpit. A bait freezer and transom livewell
are optional. A center-console helm on the slightly raised bridge
deck provides unobstructed 360-degree visibility. The entrance
below is offset to port and opens to a spacious galley to starboard
and an L-shaped settee to port with dinette table. Viking offers
two- and three-stateroom layouts: The standard layout features a
midcabin with twin berths and an island double forward, The Cummins 600hp diesels with
Zeus drives cruise at 2526 knots (low 30s top).
