Deck And Hull Equipment:
Helm Deck: What really sets this boat apart is the open bulkhead. In the tradition of true day boats, this open salon melds the best assets of an express boat with those of a flybridge convertible. In foul weather the lower station affords a dry operating point. On sweltering days, the AC and numerous vents keep the open deck cool. You can appreciate the roomy seating at the dinette and opposite lounge. Removable cushions and gel coated surfaces make cleanup consist of a quick rinse and chamois.
Cockpit: The contoured gunwales provide a secure fulcrum to wrap up on a big one! At the head of the cockpit, rear-facing bench seats provide a great place to relax with a modest amount of shade. On each side of the cockpit deck, hatches reveal a set of macerated fish boxes with optional chill plates. This leaves transom space available for the large oval live well. Other features include freshwater and saltwater washdowns, teak coverboards, a transom door, copious tackle storage under one bench seat and a freezer capable of holding several cases of bait. The Ocean 37' Billfish represents a solid contender for hard-core anglers or first-time buyers looking for an open, airy, diesel powered sport fish.
Accommodations:
Interior: Amtico teak and holly flooring, leather paneled walls, satin-finished cherry trim and Corian counters give the galley a rich and comfortable feel. To starboard, is a functional galley featuring a recessed two-burner range, sink, microwave and drawer-style refrigerator and freezer. Large food pantry. To port, is located a private enclosed head with stall shower, vanity with Corian countertop & sink, overhead lighting & Vacu-Flush marine toilet. Additional:
3100 rpm provides a fast 30-knot cruise burning 34 gph. Ocean attributes this performance and economy to prop pockets that reduce shaft angle. Another benefit of the pockets is incredible handling around the dock and while backing on a fish. In a light chop the cockpit stays dry when throttled backwards fast enough to hear the turbos whine. Throwing one engine in forward and the other in reverse, she spins a full rotation in just 14 seconds - making the 37 Billfish stand up to its name while performing in the light-tackle blue marlin rodeo.
