2008 FOUNTAIN 31 Center Console, Considered the premier fishing boat on the market, Fountain's 31 Center Console is the perfect blend of performance, features and styling. Decked out with everything fishermen could possibly need, the 31 Center Console is maneuverable, agile and fast. Hull design has everything to do with it. Like all Fountains, the 31 Center Console is engineered for unmatched stability while fishing, combining a low center of gravity with a beam that's perfectly matched to the boat's centerline. Fountain is one of the few manufacturers to use high-density foam, Interplastic vinyl ester resins, and multi-directional fiberglass, and then laminates its hulls and decks together, in a process that is racecourse proven. Other features include: seven stringers and 10 bulkheads glassed into place for superior structural integrity, heavy-duty trim tabs and hydraulic steering; complete instrumentation; 400-quart insulated fish box with overboard drains; 50-gallon circulating livewell; rod holders; and a self-bailing cockpit liner. The end result is a hull design that needs less horsepower at on-plane speeds, which translates into an extended range and big savings at the fuel dock.
