Manufacturer Provided Description: The Bull's Eye was first designed in 1914. Since 1948 Cape Cod has been building the Bull's Eye in fiberglass to original hull lines. When it comes to rough-water sailing, this is the safest daysailer around. Combined with its beautiful, ageless lines it is a boat that will give years of exciting, pleasurable and safe sailing in all conditions. Part of her stiffness is a result of the 750 pounds of lead in her keel which is carried outside the hull and adds further protection if put aground, as the lead absorbs the shock rather than the fiberglass. This stiffness, however, does not make her sluggish in light air. Under genoa or spinnaker she picks up her feet in a manner that will surprise her skipper as well as those she passes. The Bull's Eye Association is quite active with classes a Miami, Florida; Manset, Maine; Cataumet, Harwich, Marblehead Marion, and Rockport, Massachusetts; Fisher's Island and Western Long Island, New York; and Mantoloking, New Jersey. Standard equipment for this fine craft includes: flotation tanks under the cockpit floor and bow sections, stainless steel and bronze hardware, stainless steel rigging by Zephyr, teak trim, roller reefing, self-tending jib, and teak lazarette hatch cover. Dacron running rigging.
