Fully loaded, the boat draws only 8 1/2 inches of water. A wide 100-inch beam makes for a stable ride and plenty of room for fishing; the forward casting deck is massive indeed.The Carolina Bay 20 offers all the construction features and detail of her bigger offshore brethren. The hull and topsides are 100-percent ATC CoreCell structural foam, sandwiched between vinylester resin-impregnated, double-layered, stitched biaxial fiberglass mats, all covered by a premium gelcoat. The fiberglass mats overlap at the keel and spray rails, resulting in six layers of laminate at these critical points. Full-width foam-cored bulkheads add to the structural integrity. All inner liners and other structural parts are bonded to the hull/stringer system with Plexus, a stronger and more durable method than traditional fiberglass tabbing. Standard features include a molded fiberglass pop-up instrument box that rises out of the console, recessed stainless hinges and deck hardware, a removable 58-gallon fuel tank, recessed trim tabs, below-gunwale storage for up to 16 12-foot rods, and a 30-gallon livewell. Options are limited to a teak cockpit sole and teak toe rail, a recessed underglass gauge package, poling platform, trolling motors and an additional 15-gallon livewell.
