Stepping onto the cockpit gives you access to the bridge, by means of a safe and secure molded in stairway with a polished stainless hand rail. The upper deck opens up into a large area for seating and relaxing, and allows access to the upper helm. There is also an electric grill and an additional seating area on the rear upper deck, great for entertaining family and friends. Going forward on the lower level you can access the foredeck by means of a wide and protected walkway. A stainless Sampson post and dual roller pulpit is perfect for setting the anchor and the optional windlass makes retrieval a snap. All rails, hatches and portlights are fashioned from 316L stainless steel for easy maintenance and great looks.For 2004, all Mainships, including the new 400, are featuring beautiful cherry wood interiors. All cabinets, drawers and tables are solid cherry and the optional cherry and holly sole is very traditional as well as serviceable. The extended salon includes an Ultra leather sofa, entertainment center with stereo and flat screen TV. A starboard side galley offers a full size, dual voltage refrigerator and freezer, microwave, 3-burner range and oven, and even a coffe maker. Special attention has been given to general and dishware storage and the location for an under counter trash receptacle. To port of the lower station is a full dinette that seats five with a comfortable bench and three stools. Forward, is a master stateroom with a centerline inner spring queen berth and plenty of hanging, drawer and locker storage. A second stateroom offers two single berths and an optional innovative desk arrangement, and the head, with a separate stall shower is accessible from the master stateroom or the companionway. Mechanical Equipment:
Engine room access is via hinged hatches in the salon sole. The engine room layout has the aluminum fuel tanks outboard of the engines. There is generous space between and around the engines for ease of maintenance. Filters, batteries, shaft seals, transducers ect. are easy to reach and service. The L-shaped galley runs along the starboard side of the salon. Deck and Hull Equipment:
The bridge deck area is comfortable and well laid out. Access to the bridge is via molded in fiberglass steps in the cockpit. The aft end of the area is open and features the very popular summer kitchen option with grill, sink and ice maker. There is also a mounted 24" round table and a folded radar mast which color matches the gel coat. Moving forward into the covered area of the bridge, there is an L-shaped settee on port and straight on starboard with a folding table between. At the forward end of the area, the helm is on centerline with a pedestal seat and additional forward facing seats on either side.
