This is a 2004 Cobia Bay 222 Bay Boat powered by a 2004 Yamaha HPDI 200 HP Outboard with only 154 and includes a 2004 Performance trailer with all upgrades!

This boat is the same hull as a Century Bay 2202. It was manufactured in Panama City at C&C on the same assembly line as the 2202. It shares the NMMA ID sticker with the Century 2202. I stress these points because there isn't much info out there about this model because it was only made one year. When Maverick bought Cobia from C&C they discontinued it in favor of the smaller Cobia bay boats.

It sat in a warehouse for most of the first 4 years since it was sold to the first owner and I stumbled on it in March. I have put about 75 hours on it and it runs perfectly. It had the first service, and the 100 hour service (around 85 hours on the receipt) done by the first owner and a recent service done by yours truly.

The console seems a little larger than the current version of the 2202 and the windshield is easily removable for towing. There is a tilt helm and a neat leaning post with bolster position if desired. There is a forward casting stool/seat. It has raw water washdown. There is a manual jackplate that I haven't played with because the first owner promised me it was set up right and it seems to work well as is.

It has 2 livewells. It's wired for 4 batteries (2 power and 2 for trolling motor) and has a trickle charger. There is a Minn Kota autopilot style trolling motor that isn't working right but I am looking for a place to work on it locally. We think it has a bad circuit board in the foot control.

This boat is in very nice condition and runs well, about 50 mph WOT with a Mercury Tempest Plus 19p and I think it would be faster with a 21p as it will turn 5500 rpm easily. It planes very quickly. It sips gas and oil, the 200 runs almost effortlessly at 40 mph.

I have added a new Furuno FCV600 and a Kenwood CD stereo along with a new royal blue sunbrella bimini top (not shown).
