A complete dedication to offshore passagemaking has been present throughout the initial design, and constant upgrade and maintenance process of DIVERSION. Her arrangement features a large and airy Salon with Up-Galley which interfaces seamlessly with a roomy and functional cockpit. There are engine and thruster controls conveniently located in the cockpit (for ease of docking) and ample port and starboard side decks which give ease and safety for limited crew or couples.
A large storage compartment is found molded into the stern, this an excellent surface area for barbecuing. Beneath the cockpit is a large lazarette, which gives additional access to the engine room and also provides an enormous storage area. The lazarette also houses the A/C mechanical equipment, a 2nd Sub-zero freezer, house battery (AGM) banks and battery isolation selection switches.
The Owner’s cabin is located close to the center of the vessel for optimal comfort at sea. Additionally a full centerline queen VIP Stateroom is located in the bow and a smaller bunk cabin to port, for a total of three staterooms for all your crew and guests.
Above the Owner’s cabin lies the large Wheelhouse which is the command center and a favorite gathering and entertainment place. Adequate sleeping space is provided for a night watchman in this Pilothouse. The position of the Wheelhouse affords excellent visibility for both running and docking procedures, an uncommon combination in many vessels.
A true Portuguese bridge is provided for structural protection and safety offshore for moving about the vessel exterior. - Introduction: "DIVERSION" is a beautifully designed, full displacement, long range "Passage Maker". Her keel cooling and dry stack exhaust system makes her quiet, diesel odor free and extremely reliable. The unique features of the bulbous bow reduce pitching by 20% while offering fuel ecomomy of 10%. The molded-in maintenance strakes provide great engine room space. The Nordhavn 57's tank-tested design combined with 2,000 gallons of diesel fuel capacity to give "DIVERSION" a non-stop range of over 3,000 miles. - Vessel Walkthrough & Accommodations: Forward is a Guest Suite with centerline island double berth, starboard hanging locker, P&S lockers and under berth drawer storage. Aft starboard is an ensuite shared Head with separate stall shower, Corian countertops, and white laminate surfaces. Across to port is a second guest stateroom with over/under single berths, hanging locker and drawer storage.
Aft is the full beam Master Suite with a centerline queen berth, custom lighting, P&S built-in nightstands, outboard hanging lockers, drawer storage, and stereo system. To starboard is the ensuite Head with separate stall shower, Corian countertops, white laminate surfaces, and custom fixtures.
Up a curved staircase is the Pilothouse. Pilothouse features P&S doors to side decks, portside flag blue leather L-settee with custom table, centerline Stidd helm chair, full engine and navigation controls, chart and locker storage. Aft to starboard are stairs leading up to the Flybridge and boat deck.
The Flybridge features a centerline helm station with full engine controls and electronics. Aft portside is an L-settee with table, a rigid Bimini top, and large boat deck aft with lifting crane. Access to the Flybridge is either from the Pilothouse or the aft cockpit via ladder.
Aft and down five steps from the Pilothouse is a U-shaped galley with P&S doors to side decks, full appliances, overhead storage, Corian countertops, a large S/S sink and enclosed stacked washer and dryer to starboard. Engine room access is via curved staircase in front of washer/dryer.
Aft of the Galley is a comfortable Saloon with large dark blue leather L-settee with hi-lo table to port. Two built-in blue leather counter stools are forward facing the rear counter of the Galley. To starboard are two chairs with a built-in lamp table in between. Aft is a built-in TV entertainment center.
