2000 Independence Boat Works Trawler, 2000 Independence Boat Works Trawler , An enlarged version of the popular Independence 45, this limited production Independence 50 retains the same sturdy profile as her predecessor with the advantages of a larger main salon and additional cockpit space. Like her sistership, the I50 is built on a semi-displacement hull with hard aft chines to reduce roll and a long, prop-protecting keel. The galley is forward in the spacious full-width salon and visability from the raised pilothouse is excellent. The large top aft deck offers space for a dinghy or entertaining. Additional features include reverse-angle pilothouse windows, bow thruster, raised bulwarks, varnished teak interior joinery, a well-arranged engine room and commercial grade cabin windows.
