The Acadia 25 is a traditional lobster boat design with the modern pleasures and the best qualities of the old and new. Powered by a Yanmar 260hp six cylinder turbo diesel with only 514 hours!! She features a pilothouse, large aft cockpit, a cabin with full standing headroom, large v-berth and an enclosed head w/shower. Andiamo also features AIR CONDITIONING, refrigerator, and ss galley sink. Her navigation electronics include a Uniden digital depth, Garmin Color GPS, Standard Horizon VHF, and autopilot. The Semi-displacement hull shape has a reputation for maintaining good speed in rough water and providing a soft ride. The full length keel and skeg protect the prop, shaft and the rudder during grounding. This affords the owner peace of mind seldom found in power boats. The hull is solid fiberglass, completely hand-laid with multidimensional and unidirectional fibers to guarantee a uniform laminate structure. Accomodations:
At the bow is a large V berth with sunbrella (tan with blue piping) with direct access to the anchor locker in the forepeak. There is a LCD TV with DVD player mounted on the Head bulkhead. There are three teak storage cupboards located on both port and starboard. There is storage beneath the V berth accessable through teak louvered doors and under cushions. The cabin sole is also teak slats. There is one large overhead hatch and three opening portholes for natural light and air.Aft and to starboard of the V berth is the enclosed head. Opposite it to port is the Galley area with refridgerator/freezer, sink, storage and counter area.Up two steps into the bridge helm area. There are two helm chairs (tan with blue piping) affixed to two box pedestals with lots of storage in each. Helm is located to starboard with good electronics and Yanmar instrumentation. The entire bridge deck area is enclosed with a hardtop and hard windows port and starboard. There is a center opening forward window and two sliding opening windows port and starboard. There are two overhead hatches for more ventilation.Aft and down one step is the large cockpit area. There are two deck chairs, two tables and one fixed double bench seat all the way aft. It hinges forward for fuel tank access. There are fish rod/boat hook fiberglass holders built into each side of the cockpit. Opening hatches in the sole reveal the batteries. The entire cockpit has a sturdy aluminum frame with sunbrella laced around the top and drop curtains all around. Each of these drop curtains has U zips where when the sunbrella is rolled up and straped the "no see em" curtains are revealed.
