About this 33' 1996 Bayliner 3388 Motoryacht Motor Yachts,Convertible Boats
1996 Bayliner 3388 Motoryacht
PRICE DROP, just in time for the new season! Touch a magic modernization wand to the oh-so-popular, oh-so-practical 32 MotorYacht, and this is what would result: the same NorthWest-friendly layout, yet it seems so much larger! Significantly taller headroom in the salon has the same effect as a cathedral-ceiling home: spaciousness! This effect is accentuated by the modern light colors and the warm, soft light teak finish inside -- and not a stick of teak outside. What you DO gain inside -- altogether new -- is a glass-door showerstall in the head. Salon's focused around the full-visibility L-shaped settee surrounding the large dining table; down galley is flooded with light from the forward-facing windows. Two-staterooms -- v-berth in the forepeak, and the famous bigger-than-a-king bed tucked under the salon, in the standing-headroom midships stateroom. Proven Hino 150hp straight shaft-drive diesel power, full-enclosure flybridge with brand-new crystal-clear StrataGlass vinyl, brand-new upholstery, and brand new exterior carpets. Brand-new, too, is the inflatable-floor dinghy AND its 6hp four-stroke outboard. This one's ready-to-cruise right now, in upgraded modern style!
Clean engine-room, evidencing good attention to maintenance. Prop-pockets ("tunnel hull") and ultra-short shafts put engines out under cockpit floor, not under salon; easy access.

Walkthrough:
Easy entry to cockpit from swim-step, thru transom door. Easy-washdown open-plan cockpit, folding chairs and table, removable sewn-edge carpeting. Entertainment sink adjacent to the ladder leading up to flybridge. Full black-canvas enclosure for flybridge area, supported from SSTL bows; all new crystal-clear StrataGlass. Central swivel helmseat, L-shaped guest settees either side, with flip-back on portside, to create either forward-facing co-pilot's seat, or aft-facing low-slung lounge.
From the cockpit, enter the tall salon thru sliding aluminum door. Light teak interior trim, brown faux-granite countertops and tabletop, charcoal and gold fabrics with taupe vinyl accent stripe.
Down three stairs just to port of entry, to standing-headroom portion of midship stateroom: vanity sink, cabinets and hanging locker straight ahead against port hullside, aft is sliding window out to cockpit, and forward of standing area is a HUGE bed under the salon. To starboard of the bed is a long storage gallery, reached by lifting up the stairs.
Salon is designed around the dinette table with FULL visibility outward from the L-shaped settee surrounding it. Settee makes into double berth. Lower helm is placed quite far aft in the salon, to provide skylight into the head below. Though "down", the galley feels a socially-connected part of the salon area; features teak&holly hardwood floor, polished SSTL sink, 3-burner propane stove with oven, MW, refrig, and great natural lighting as it's fully exposed above to forward-slanting windshield.
Head below helmstation has Jabsco marine toilet, molded-into-countertop sink, and a separate glass-door showerstall, big enough to include a bathing seat.
Forward thru an accordion door into forepeak stateroom, the v-berth becomes a triangular double via filler cushion; there's hullside shelves, a hanging locker, and an opening hullside porthole to provide crossflow ventilation with the deck hatch.
