Accomodations:
Accommodations & Layout There are a total of 35 newly upholstered seats with 19 viewing ports on the starboard sdie and 18 viewing ports on the port side. Foreward are 3 viewing ports and one viewing port aft. There is a DVD player, TV monitor and three new Bose speakers in the passenger area. The entire space is air conditioned for passenger comfort with two air units. Viewing ports are 1-1/8th inch thick glass with anti-fog material on the inside. She is designed and certified to carry 49 passengers, 1 master and 2 crew.
Mechanical Equipment:
Engine & Mechanical Equipment Engines are 115 HP Cummins diesels, one has been replaced and has only 250 hours on it and the other is in working order. The 12.5 KW Onan diesel generator is in working great and powers two air conditioning units and other electrical systems aboard.
Electonics and Navigational Gear:
Electronics & Navigation Magnetic steering compass, New Standard Horizon Eclipse VHF radio with DSC.
Electrical System:
Electrical 12 volt DC and 110 volt AC systems with breaker panels. 12.5 KW Onan Generator and an adequate number of batteries in acid proof cases with covers and securely fastened. There are 12 high capacity 12 volt bilge pumps, plus an electric 110 volt fire/wash down pump and one additional bilge pump under the engine. There is a Hynautic 60 series bow thruster. The hydraulic steering system is activated by the helm pump and working hydraulic rams which move the rudders and is in safe working order.
Deck and Hull Equipment:
Hull & Deck The hull is welded marine grade aluminum with a steel keel. The underwater hull is protected foreward and aft by a heavy guage tubular steel structure serving as a deflector against accidental ground contacts when operating near shore.

The Nautilus VIII ocean craft allows its passengers to sit below the surface of the ocean in air conditioned comfort as it strolls along the water.
