Accomodations:
This very traditional layout includes a large private forward cabin with double offset slightly to port. Just aft in the main salon is a straight settee to stbd and a large U-shaped settee to port. A dinette table wraps around the mast and has a leaf to stbd so dinner for a crowd is easy. The current owner chooses to store this table in favor of having extra space in the salon but it is standard and comes with this boat. Aft to stbd is a sit down aft-facing navigation station. Open to the salon and conveniently adjacent to the companionway ladder, the galley is large and has all the tools and counter space for easy meal prep. A private aft double berth cabin is aft of the galley and to stbd of the companionway is a large head with stall shower. The interior of Risk Taker is high quality, varnished, teak joinery and is all in excellent condition. The gloss varnished teak and holly cabin sole really stands out as well. The Ericson 38 is noted for her sensible cruising design and is well lit and ventilated with numerous overhead deck hatches and opening side portlights. This one-owner boat has been lightly cruised in New England waters and continuous care is evident in an inspection. The gel coat is glossy, the decks clean, and the interior wood and gloss varnished teak and holly sole is in excellent condition. Move your stuff on board and go sailing this summer. Outfitted with color chartplotter GPS, radar, wind/speed/depth instruments(2009), autopilot(2008), VHF radio, stereo CD player, dodger(2002), and much more. Recent maintenance upgrades include dropping and rebedding the keel(2007), bottom blasted and barrier coated(2001), new batteries (2008) and canvas work (2002). Risk Taker is truly ready to go now so if you are looking for a cruiser with top performance and a beautiful interior with great accommodations, you owe it to yourself to see this highly recommended offering.
