This 1983 Blue Water Vagabond 47' ketch is an extremely well equipped and refit yacht. Its traditional lines and fully varnished teak interior give it a warm and comfortable atmosphere for liveaboard coastal and ocean cruising. The split ketch rig is easy to handle and it has an inner forestay with roller furler staysail for perfect balance and heavy weather ocean sailing. The yacht has been continuously upgraded by the owner since his purchase in 1997. He immediately installed all new aluminum fuel tanks, new plastic water tanks and new complete Metal Mast ketch rig, rigging and in-mast furling sails. Recently, improvements such as a new stripped and laminated bottom, new Perkins diesel engine, Mastervolt diesel generator, AC/DC wiring upgrades and electronics were accomplished, as well as new Grunert refrigeration. Many more improvements have been made and all improvements have been professionally executed. There is full canvas. The new Perkins diesel is well installed, has low hours and is in above average condition.
