1982 GULFSTAR Mark I Auxilary Sloop, This is the best priced charter sailboat in this range. Needs work including a new generator but it is a $100k less then anything similar on the market. Recent $50,000 price reduction! Please see recently added pictures for condition.. BAMBOO is the MKI Gulfstar, the version prized for it's stronger, detailed construction compared to the MKII version. The MKI has extensive use of carbon fiber in the hull, which makes for a significant strength difference. This is a fantastic example of a well designed charter boat made to cruise the islands in comfort. Her four cabin layout is perfect for couples, kids, and the forward crew quarters has it's own head to keep the Captain and Mate separate from the guest. Although she is structurally sound, she is in need of cosmetic maintence but this is reflected in the price; the only other similar vessel on the market has an asking price of $699,000 and replacement value is approximately $1.5M. The design and construction of the Gulfstar 60 Mark I was the result of the commitment and experience of the Lazzara family headed by the legendary Vince Lazzara. He founded the Gulfstar Company in Tampa Florida. By the early 1980's Gulfstars were among the most popular and highly regarded yachts in the US. Their popularity can be attributed to the innovative spacious interior designs, beautifully finished teak woodwork, exceptional storage, rugged construction, manageable performance with minimum of crew, and attractive exterior styling.
