1974 MATTHEWS YACHT FISH OFFSHORE 56' 6\', The Matthews 56\' Offshore Yacht Fish, built by Matthews, Port Clinton, Ohio, launched in 1974, is one of only four complete fiberglass hulls built by Matthews. She is very dry and stable, with an extremely smooth entrance into the water, giving a complete soundproofing to the inside while underway, hence the name Matthews Offshore. The freeboard form stem to waterline is approximately 8-9 feet, combined with a hull thickness of 1 ¾ inches makes this a phenomenal sea boat. In 2004, this vessel was completely rebuilt to ABYC standards: engines, interior, exterior, all machinery, complete new electrics and plumbing, complete brand new interior all of wood, leather, and coreon. This complete restoration and rebuilding was done in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, by first class boat building professionals, under the management of J&M Marine, which is also available to make any modifications or additions to the vessels for the new Buyer. The vessel was regularly surveyed by Anstay & Price Marine Surveyors of Fort Lauderdale, throughout the rebuild. No expense was spared.; Given the hallmark of the great Matthews boat building history this yacht is a true American Classic. She is the last of her kind in existence and needs to be seen to be truly appreciated.
