The 42 Commander Sports Convertible was one of the first all fiberglass cruisers and very well built. The weight of this model left the factory at 21,000 pounds. It carries a longer keel for directional stability.This model was is production from 1968 to 1973.

Accomodations:
Two steps down is the Vee berth forward with head and separate shower to port. Opposite to starboard is an upper lower twin bunk area. The galley is down port mid ship. The lower helm is to starboard with the salon area aft on both sides.
