"SANDVIG" was built for the Danish Navy as a Mine Sweeper. It is the different woods that were used in her construction that really stand out and give her a long life. Massive, curvey American Oak for her hull and frames. Massive Burmese Teak for her decks, delicate tropical hardwoods in her interior and featherlight cedar from Lebanon for her skin. After her de-commissioning from the Danish Navy she changed hand a couple of times and she ended up in the idyllic waters of the San Antonio Bay in IBIZA. It is here where her present owners found her. After spending three long and arduous years of reconstruction, she was ready to be launched in the winter of 1993 and saw her first charter in summer of 1994.
