1960 Lapworth 53 Ketch

The interior is charming with the right amount of varnished teak and painted bulkheads. Starting forward there is a workshop with a quarter berth followed by an elclosed head. Next aft is the midcabin stateroom with the navigation station to port. Next aft and up is the main salon with the galley at the after end. Next aft and down to the owner's cabin with an ensuite head.
"Tavana" is a masthead rigged ketch. The hull is teak planking over 2-1/4"x2" bent teak frames on 16" centers. Floor timbers are teak.The stem and stern is teak. The bottom is teak carvel planking The fasteners are screw type silicon bronze. The decks are calked and laid teak over plywood . Bronze keel bolts. The external ballast is lead. The laminated spruce masts are both keel stepped. The hull shape is with a double ended full keel and a rudder hung on the aft end of the keel.

2- #24, Eight 6 volt wired in series to produce 12 volts DC and four 8 volt wired in series to produce 32 volts DC, lead acid.
Battery Charger: Promariner Flyback 15-3. Heart 2000 watt Inverter
Switchboard: 12 volt and 32 volts DC Circuit Breaker Panels and 120 volt AC Circuit Breaker Panel.
Wiring: Multi-stranded PVC jacketed copper wire.
