1958 Chris-Craft Open Sea Skiff,You will enjoy the openness of this classic 30' Chris Craft Sea Skiff! We have cruised with up to 12 people on board and enjoyed many days and evenings on this solid and comfortable cruiser. These Sea Skiffs were built for big water and she takes 3 and 4 ft waves with ease. The 10 1/2 ft beam allows an abundance of space and the functional use of the white wicker furniture (included). Complete bottom and sides stripping and restoration in 2009 to original. She is powered by the original Chris Craft K 6 cylinder flat head gas engines and they both run beautifully. When purchased, I had them checked out thoroughly, had the carburetors rebuilt, added fuel filters as well as new ignition parts. They started up nicely and still do. The water pumps run effectively and keep the engine at 140 degrees consistently. I have a spare water pump as well and various ignition parts for emergencies. The fuel tanks are clean and have had fresh fuel in them consistently with no issues. The transmissions are very smooth and enable easy maneuvering in and out of the slip. Cruising speed is 2700 RPMs at about 22 -30 knots. She takes waves up to 12 ft I am told. Any splash over the deck is discharged by the scuppers in the aft deck area. The 3 to 4 ft waves on Lake Monroe are barely noticeable. New floor, new camper/bimini top, shore power added, fuel filters, fresh fuel always, bottom and ribs perfect, no rot, transom refinished, interior ribs sanded and stained, sound/speaker system added, most of the brightwork has been restored except console. Boat was last used summer/fall of 2011 on Lake Monroe near Bloomington, IN. (low lake level in 2012)She is up on stix right now awaiting her next love. No Trailer.I am the second owner. I purchased her up in Marquette, MI and she was used on Lake Superior up until we met. It was pretty affordable to move to Indiana ($1500). The previous owner, a doctor and his family, maintained the boat very well. He had the deck professionally glassed and it performs nicely. The windshield wipers were removed (included) and he had new guages intalled (I have originals). This boat is priced to sell. I have too many toys and arthritis is setting is so I have to slow down. We just finished installing marine grade wiring of shore power, an outlet in the engine compartment for a battery charger, two outlets in the rear deck and an outlet in the v-berth. The bilge pumps run effectively and infrequently. VBirth totally repainted with plenty of storage. Stereo speakers and small halogen lights are present mid-deck. An easy oil change system was installed this past fall of 2010.She is located at Lakeview Boat and Storage in Bloomington, IN. Buyer is responsible for transport and loading cost (approx $250).Call 712-229-0285 $16500, 7122290285
