1956 YELLOW JACKET 14', The Yellow Jacket boat company was in business from 1949 thru 1959, and was built in Denison, Texas. Considered revolutionary for their time do to their molded plywood construction, which was know for its speed and durability. Many innovations such as the "bent wood" spring seats (for ride comfort) & stronger transoms, so the boats could take larger outboards than their competitors, came about during the Yellow Jackets production. Roy Rodgers (who was a co-owner of the company for while) was famously photographed in is 1951 Yellow Jacket and was a company pitchman.
