1905 NEW YORK Thirty, The New York Thirty Class was designed in 1904 by the great Nathaniel Herreshoff as a one design class for the New York Yacht Club. Most of the original eighteen boats have been restored and are actively sailing today. They are not only incomparably beautiful yachts but exceptionally fast and powerful in all conditions. The thiry's were not only a competative one-design class but have been winning races for over 100 years. "Nautilus" completed an exquisite rebuilding/restoration in 2002 and is essentially a new boat in every way; only the finest methods and materials were used to launch her into her next hundred years. Highly recommended to those who seek the finest in an impeccable restored classic yacht for cruising, daysailing and participation in classic yacht regattas. Price $150,000 for half share. A half share of "Nautilus" is available to the qualified buyer; she would be available for unlimite use during the months of June, July and August, most of the Northeast sailing season. The buyer would share yearly in the maintanance and storage expenses. She is based in Greenport, Long Island, NY and Oyster Bay, New York but could be sailed to the partners home for June, July and August. This could be an ideal arrangement for a sailor who wants to participate in classic yacht regattas without the full commitment of time and money that would be required by a full owner.
